 This year’s ACTS HIV Ministry Fundraiser, entitled “ACTS-travaganza® - Night at the Masquerade,” will be held on October 9, 2010 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 6909 Camp Bullis Road. The event will include Las Vegas Casino Action, Our Annual Sangria Taste-Off, Buffet Dinner, Beer, Wine and Soft Drinks, Silent and Live Auctions, Door Prizes, DJ Music, Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament and more.
The ACTS HIV Ministry is a lay ministry, founded in 2000, that provides ACTS Retreats for men and women affected or infected by HIV/AIDS. These three-day weekend retreats provide opportunities to renew spiritual life, strengthen faith, and build lasting friendships and community. The average cost of an ACTS Retreat is upward of $165 per person, due in large part to the cost of the retreat centers. Very few of our retreatants can bear this expense.
In an effort to ensure that all who wish to attend an ACTS HIV Retreat can do so regardless of economic circumstances, the ACTS HIV Ministry holds only one large fundraising event every year. The ACTS HIV Ministry greatly appreciates any support you are able to provide for this worthwhile event.
The ACTS HIV Ministry is a non-profit organization, and has been granted tax exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. As such, all donations are tax deductible. Additionally, the evening’s program will list your name and donation. With 450 people expected at this year’s event, many will note your participation and generosity.
